The USF College of Public Health (COPH) is part of a national effort to create the healthiest nation in one generation. USF Bulls and members of the local community are invited to join the movement and get involved today!
Each year National Public Health Week (NPHW) is held during the first full week of April and is organized by the American Public Health Association (APHA), a government-based professional organization for more than 25,000 public health practitioners that prides itself on influencing federal policy and bringing together members from all fields of public health. The week is observed to recognize the contributions of public health and highlight important health issues.
This year’s observance falls on April 7-13 centering on the theme, “It Starts Here.”
According to NPHW.org, “Public health starts with each of us making a difference in our homes and communities. It’s how the places we live, work and play affect our well-being. It’s the way we are all stronger—and healthier—together.”
Join us for the 30th anniversary of NPHW to celebrate successes and create a vision for the future. Check out the college’s offerings, there’s something for everyone!
