The University of South Florida proudly participated in this year's Great American Teach-in, reaffirming its commitment to community engagement and educational outreach. With the enthusiastic support of over 200 dedicated USF volunteers from its Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota/Manatee campuses, the event made a profound impact, boasting impressive levels of participation.
The Great American Teach-in served as a dynamic platform for USF volunteers to extend their influence to over 10,000 students across four school districts and 129 public and private schools, thereby connecting with the broader community. This remarkable outreach marks a substantial expansion from previous years, highlighting the unwavering dedication and passion of the USF community in nurturing educational opportunities and illuminating diverse career pathways.
Expanding upon the successes of the previous year, the USF Office of Youth Experiences collaborated with numerous departments and colleges within USF to provide K-12 students with valuable learning opportunities. From STEM disciplines to the humanities, business, and beyond, USF volunteers showcased the university's diverse range of offerings, effectively highlighting what distinguishes USF as a vibrant and inclusive academic community.
Looking forward, the USF Office of Youth Experiences remains committed to building upon the achievements of the Great American Teach-in. USF continues to serve as a beacon of educational excellence and community engagement, enriching society one teach-in at a time.
