USF High School Esports Camp (Grades 9-12)

At USF Esports: High School Edition on the Tampa campus, aspiring gamers will take their skills to the next level in the competitive world of Esports.

Held at the USF Recreation and Wellness Esports Living Lab on the Tampa Campus, this camp offers high school students the opportunity to explore advanced gaming strategies, develop leadership skills, and prepare for future opportunities in esports, whether through college scholarships or professional careers.

Campers will compete in popular games like Rocket League, Fortnite, Fall Guys, and more, mastering advanced techniques and team dynamics to excel in competitive play. Through gameplay, team challenges, and leadership-focused sessions, participants will build communication skills, refine their strategies, and learn what it takes to succeed in esports. The camp also introduces pathways for college scholarships and careers in the fast-growing esports industry, connecting passion with real-world possibilities.

Advanced Gameplay and Strategy

When does registration open for the USF High School Esports Camp?

Registration for all 2025 summer camps will open on February 1, 2025.

What is the capacity of the USF High School Esports Camp?

Each session of the USF High School Esports Camp has a capacity of 30.

What is the refund/cancellation policy?

USF reserves the right to cancel camps, in which case registration fees are fully refunded. If it becomes necessary for USF to cancel, postpone or combine camps, or change a camp location, you will be notified by email or phone. It is important that we have your current contact information. If a camp is cancelled, you will receive a full refund. If a registration is received after the enrollment limit has been reached, a full refund will be issued.

If you need to cancel a camp registration, please email USF Youth Experiences. If the cancellation occurs 10 days prior to camp start date a full refund will be received with the exception of administration fees. However, if the cancellation is received within 10 business days of the camp start date, no refund will be given. No refunds will be issued after the start date of the camp.

Who are the USF Faculty/Staff that lead the USF High School Esports Camp?

The USF High School Esports Summer Camp is led by Andrew Ross, the Esports Coordinator at the University of South Florida, alongside Abigail Vorhies, Assistant Director of Sports Programs for USF Recreation and Wellness. Held in the state-of-the-art Esports Living Lab at the Campus Recreation Center, campers will have access to a 2,700-square-foot esports lab featuring 40 Lenovo Legion gaming PCs, a private gaming suite for competitions, and a broadcast room equipped for live event production. The lab also includes console stations with PlayStations, Xboxes, and Nintendo Switches, offering a dynamic space for both competitive and recreational gaming experiences.

The USF Esports Summer Camp takes place at the USF Recreation and Wellness Center, conveniently located on the USF Tampa campus next to the Yuengling Center. The facility's address is 12530 USF Bull Run Drive, Tampa, FL 33620.

After registering for the USF High School Esports Camp, when will I start receiving logistical details including drop-off and pick-up times?

You will receive several reminder emails leading up to the camp start date. Emails will be sent 60, 30, 14, 7, and 1 day prior, each containing important information to ensure a successful experience at the USF High School Esports Camp.
