Phi Beta Kappa Key Into Public Service Scholars
The Key into Public Service Scholars program highlights the wide range of opportunities for arts, humanities, natural science, social science, and mathematics majors to pursue careers in local, state, and federal government. Each recipient receives a $5,000 undergraduate scholarship and participates in a conference that provides training and mentoring for public service careers.
ELIGIBILITY
- Minimum 3.5 GPA
- Arts, humanities, mathematics, natural science, or social science major
- Plan to pursue a career in public service
IDEAL CANDIDATES
- Experience in public service or internships in local, community, or international affairs
- Leadership experience on campus or in community settings
- Ability to articulate how a liberal arts education is helping to connect the dots between academics and public service goals
- While U.S. citizenship is not required, it is preferred that candidates will be able to continue working in the United States after finishing higher education and pass security clearance checks
