Sustainable Tailgating recycling initiative aids USF food pantry

The USF Fields of Green: Sustainable Tailgating initiative encouraged tailgating students to give back through recycling at our Salute to Service football game vs. Temple on Nov. 11 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Eighteen volunteers participated, with proceeds from the recycling going to the USF food pantry.

The initiative, a partnership between USF Athletics, Coca-Cola Florida, Coca-Cola North America, GLOBE (Global Leaders Outreach for a Better Environment) student organization, Atlas RVM Systems, USF Auxiliary Systems, USF Student Government, the Tampa Bay Sports Authority, and Dr. Dorsey's Concepts and Principles of Sustainability class at the Patel College of Global Sustainability, donates one nickel per bottle/can toward the USF Food Pantry.
