Exam Guidelines
Scheduling
In the AccessSAS Portal, click on “Schedule a test or exam” and follow the prompts.
Exams must be scheduled at least one full week in advance. Final exams must be scheduled at least 6 weeks in advance.
-
- Your examination will take place in the SAS office on the same campus as your class.
- Report to SAS 15-minutes prior to scheduled examination time with USF Student ID card.
You must contact the SAS testing proctors in advance to cancel any scheduled examination. Failure to contact us may result in the inability to access testing space in the future. If you drop a course, contact SAS testing.
Late Exam Request, Make Up Exams, & Rescheduling
SAS will attempt to schedule late exam requests on the original exam date as close to the class testing time as possible. SAS will reschedule the exams as spaces are available.
Instructor will be informed of the exam timings for all late exam requests. If you are not agreeable with the timing of the exam, please contact SAS-Exams@usf.edu.
If SAS does not receive permission to administer a late, make-up, or rescheduled exam, instructors are responsible for facilitating testing accommodations.
In order to reschedule an exam at SAS, testing proctors (sas-exams@usf.edu) must receive written email authorization from the instructor or TA granting permission for the student to reschedule the exam. Final exams will not be rescheduled in SAS. Students should work with their instructors to reschedule final exams.
Late Student Arrival
If a student arrives more than 15 minutes late to their scheduled SAS exam, SAS will allow them to take the exam using what remains of the student’s scheduled exam time.
Illness
If you are unable to take an examination due to illness or emergency, contact your instructor immediately and make appropriate arrangements. It is the student's responsibility to reschedule examinations or to request adjustments to testing times.
No Show
If you do not show up for a scheduled exam, SAS will NOT email you or your instructor. It is your responsibility to contact your instructor or TA if you need to reschedule any missed exam in SAS. Please see the statement below regarding rescheduling exams in SAS.
