Judicial Branch

Overview

Welcome to the Supreme Court

The University of South Florida’s Student Government Judicial Branch is comprised by two main components: the Supreme Court and the Judicial Clerk. While the appointment of the Judicial Clerk is subject to the discretion of the Chief Justice, the Supreme Court stands as a permanent entity that adjudicates all cases and controversies within the purview of Student Government.

Beyond the paramount duty of upholding integrity and providing justice, this acting body also instituted three committees dedicated to the execution of initiatives to amplify our commitment to the student body across the University of South Florida’s three campuses: Document Analysis Committee, Internal Committee, and Outreach Committee. The objectives put forth by these committees are brought to fruition by the nine distinct justices that sit upon the Supreme Court. Such justices include one Chief Justice, one Ranking Justice, one Senior Justice, and six Associate Justices.
