About Us
Membership
Alianza Latina is comprised of USF full- and part-time faculty and staff who self-identify as Latinx/a/o, Latin American, or Hispanic. We recognize and embrace the diverse intersectionalities among its members regarding race, socioeconomic class, color, national origin, religion, diverse perspectives, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, neurological or physical ability, veteran status, legal status, or education level. We also welcome allies who are invested and interested in supporting, championing, and directly advocating for the member community.
Membership Criteria
- Those who self-identify as part of the Latinx/a/o, Latin American, or Hispanic communities who serve as faculty or staff in the USF system. This includes full-time, part-time, tenured, tenure-track, non-tenure, adjunct, and visiting faculty, as well as full-time, part-time, executive, administration, union- and non-union contract, and non-student OPS.
- USF faculty and staff who do not self-identify as members of the Latinx/a/o, Latin American, or Hispanic communities, but do feel committed to supporting the mission and goals as allies of this organization.

Honorary Membership
Alianza Latina can grant an honorary designation to individuals belonging to the USF community and its service areas who are identified by members of Alianza Latina as champions of causes pertaining to the Latinx/a/o, Latin American, or Hispanic communities. Alianza Latina Honorary Members are not full members, so they are not subject to membership dues or responsibilities. However, they are welcome to contribute to Alianza Latina with donations, volunteer work, or any other type of support. Alianza Latina’s Nominations and Awards Board will be in charge of evaluating and selecting “Alianza Latina Honorary Members”.
