Assistant Professor of Instruction
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of South Florida seeks to fill two 9-month, full-time Assistant Professor of Instruction positions on our Tampa campus starting August 7, 2023. Review of applications will continue until position is filled. However, preference will be given to those candidates who submit their application materials by February 24, 2023. Salary is $55,000.
The Assistant Professor of Instruction will have the equivalent of a 4-4 teaching load and will be primarily teaching mathematics courses to first- and second-year students. The Assistant Professor of Instruction will be expected to coordinate multiple sections of large-enrollment mathematics courses with a laboratory component.
Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Mathematics, Statistics or a closely-related field. Experience with instruction and coordination in mathematics courses that have a computer laboratory component is preferred.
