Tutoring Services
Tampa campus
Students are encouraged to visit USF's Academic Success Center in the library (LIB 206) or online. Its Tutoring Hub offers assistance in a wide range of subjects. The SMART Lab provides tutoring in Life Sciences Calculus I and II (MAC 2241/2242), Engineering Calculus I and II (MAC 2281/2282), and Calculus I and II (MAC 2311/2312). The SMART Lab also provides computers on which students can do on-line homework.
St. Petersburg campus
On the St. Petersburg campus, students are encouraged to visit the Debbie Nye Sembler Student Success Center.
Sarasota-Manatee campus
On the Sarasota-Manatee campus, students are encouraged to visit Learning Support Services.
ADVICE
- Students in need of help outside the classroom are encouraged to speak to the course instructor and attend office hours.
- The online homework systems WebAssign and MyLabs, which are in use in most SMART Lab and calculus courses, provide a number of helpful resources for learners.
- The Department does NOT maintain a list of independent tutors, graduate students available to serve as tutors, or commercial tutoring services.
