Assistant Professor of Instruction

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time Assistant Professor of Instruction position on our Tampa campus starting August 7, 2025. To receive consideration, applications must be submitted no later than November 8, 2024.

The Assistant Professor of Instruction will have the equivalent of a 4-4 teaching load and will be primarily teaching mathematics or statistics courses to first- and second-year students. The Assistant Professor of Instruction will be expected to coordinate multiple sections of large-enrollment mathematics courses with a laboratory component.

Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely-related field. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in instruction and coordination of mathematics courses that have a computer laboratory component.
