Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Coding Theory/Quantum Computing

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics of the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 12-month, full-time, Postdoctoral Scholar position to begin August 7, 2025. This position carries a teaching load of three courses per year.

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in Mathematics or closely-related field. The degree must be conferred by the appointment start date. Applicant must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Scholar. Preference will be given to candidates who have received their Ph.D. within the last three years and whose research interests are in coding theory, quantum computing, or a related area.

The contract is renewable for up to two additional years dependent upon available funding and satisfactory performance in both research and teaching. Information about the department can be found on the website: http://www.math.usf.edu.
