Paying for the LSAT
Taking the LSAT can be costly and it is recommended to start preparing for this financial cost as soon as possible.
At this time, the LSAT exam costs roughly $222. That does not include the mandatory Credential Assembly Service that all pre-law students must purchase to submit their applications for law school ($250) and the individual reports, which include LSAT scores, sent to each law school that applicants indicate in their LSAC account ($45 per institution report). This adds up very quickly!
To help under-resourced pre-law students, LSAC created an LSAC fee waiver program. Students can check their eligibility on the LSAC website.
There are also some scholarships available that are published on LSAC's website.
