Registration
Do I have to be a USF student, or an athlete, to register?
No. This program is open to the public. It is well-suited for high school student-athletes, collegiate athletes, parents, coaches, administrators – anyone who wants to make informed decisions in the emerging and ever-changing NIL landscape.
How do I tell if I am registered for the Foundations of NIL certificate?
Registrants should receive a confirmation message within minutes of registering. That – and additional emails – will be sent from infrastructure.com. Please add it – and the credly.com domain – to any safesenders lists to avoid issues with junk and spam filters.
Do I need to pay if I only want to view content and don’t want the digital badge and certificate?
You cannot view the content without a paid registration.
I want to remove myself from this program.
If you decide not to complete the program, you can simply stop accessing content. If you want to be removed from any future emails or newsletters, email us at CE-Inquiries@usf.edu and we will unsubscribe you from USF’s Corporate Training and Professional Education’s mailing list.
Can more than one person watch this together and both earn certification?
Each course registration/purchase is for a single user or household and only one badge or certificate will be issued per registration. This material is property of USF Corporate Training and Professional Education and Total NIL. It should not be disseminated or used in any way without written permission from USF CTPE and Total NIL. Sharing access to this course with anyone else is strictly prohibited and could result in penalty.
CONTENT/PROGRAM ELEMENTS
When does the program begin?
The program will officially launch on September 14, 2023. All content is pre-recorded and there are no live sessions, so while the program launces then, access begins as soon as registration is complete!
Will there be any homework, prereading, or required materials?
No, there is no homework or pre-reading in this program. The $149 registration fee is inclusive and there are no hidden fees or expectations that participants purchase additional materials.
Is content captioned?
The pre-recorded sessions include captioning and transcripts are available.
Where can I find the recorded sessions or links to content shared during a module?
Recorded content is available inside the Learning Management System. Registered participants log in there to access links to any resources presenters shared.
Are there exams or quizzes? What is required to earn the digital badge?
There are no formal exams or quizzes but there are knowledge checks built into the program to provide students and learners an opportunity to demonstrate how they’ve grasped; applied; or otherwise made sense from educational material. Participants simply need to complete all four modules to earn the certificate and badge.
How long should students have access to complete the course?
Participants will have access to the content for 14 days after registration.
Will there be additional NIL certifications?
Right now, this is the only NIL certificate program but the team will stay on the cutting edge of NIL and future innovative concepts and programming will be developed.
What are the topics covered in this course?
This course will cover 4 topics in 4 modules.
Module 1: NIL 101
Module 2: Defining Your Brand
Module 3: Maximizing Social Media
Module 4: The Anatomy of an NIL Deal

Completion
Is there a time limit for completion?
Most people complete this four-module program in about four hours. Participants will be able to access the content for 14 DAYS after registration to complete the certificate program. If you are having issues and are unable to complete course within the designated time frame, please email CE-Inquiries@usf.edu .
Can I access the material after I have completed the program?
Participants will be able to access content for 14 days. Once certification is complete, participants will no longer have access to content.
How will I know if I have earned the certificate?
Once the final module is complete, participants will receive a message inviting them to accept the credentials.
When should I expect to receive my certificate and badge?
Within 48 hours of completion of the final module, participants will receive an invitation accept the certificate and badge. That invitation will be sent by admin@credly.com. Kindly add admin@credly.com to any safesender lists to avoid any issues with spam filters. Participants should check their junk and spam folders for it; those who cannot find it can reach out to CE-Inquiries@usf.edu for assistance.
The badging platform allows users to print a PDF certificate. No hard copies are mailed.
How can I connect with a presenter in the program?
Presenter and guest speaker contact info will be shared on the website, provided the speakers are open to such outreach.
Will USF send me a printed copy of my certificate?
USF will not print certificates but participants are welcome to download and print their own certificate. This video details how to download the certificate.
How do I put the badge on my social media accounts?
After claiming the badge and email, participants can display the badge on social media, electronic resumes or in email signatures. Watch this video for more information about managing the badge.
