General Knowledge Test (GKT)
The Florida Teacher Certification Exam (FTCE) General Knowledge Test (GKT) is a standardized exam of broad competencies and skills required for students seeking to graduate from a state-approved, initial teacher preparation program in the College of Education.

The FTCE GKT consists of the following four subtests:
- Essay (1 essay/50 minutes)
- English Language Skills (40 questions/40 minutes)
- Reading (40 questions/55 minutes)
- Mathematics (45 questions/100 minutes)
