International symposium explores migration and health in the Americas

The COPH played a prominent role in the first-ever International Symposium on Migration and Health in the Americas, held Sept. 9-10 at the City of Knowledge in Panama. Led by Dr. Arlene Calvo, the event brought together experts from across the Americas to address the growing intersection of migration and public health, with Panama as a key focal point.

Major USF award helps Floridians better navigate health care

The USF College of Public Health (COPH) understands and can guide people through the maze that is America’s health care system. How? The college has received a major federal grant to educate and enroll Florida citizens for insurance under the Affordable Care Act, through the Health Insurance Marketplace and other qualified health plans such Medicaid and CHIP.
