What is a MicroFridge?

A MicroFridge is a combination refrigerator, freezer, and microwave. The refrigerator is 2.13 cubic feet, the freezer is 0.75 cubic feet, and the microwave is 700 watts. This unique unit is perfect for residence hall life as it only uses one outlet and is designed to turn off the refrigerator motor while the microwave is in use, limiting the potential overload of the wall circuit.

Who is eligible to rent a MicroFridge?

USF Housing and Residential Education is expanding the MicroFridge rental program to include the Juniper-Poplar, Magnolia, Argos, Cypress, Maple, Holly, and Greek Village communities on the USF Tampa campus. MicroFridge rentals are only available for Fall 2024-Spring 2025, Spring 2025, or Summer AB 2025 contracts and only while you are assigned to one of the communities listed above.

How can I rent a MicroFridge?

To rent a MicroFridge for Fall 2024 - Spring 2025, fill out an application in the Housing Portal. MicroFridges are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Rented MicroFridge units will be delivered and installed into residents' rooms by the Housing & Residential Education Facilities team.
