We offer several certificate programs that provide on-the-go learning when you need it. Upon completing each program, you will receive a digital badge, certificate and/or credit in your official employee training record (GEMS). 

Please note: The certificate programs listed here are offered through HR's Talent Development team and were specifically designed to align with the needs of USF employees. Additional certificate programs are also available through Corporate Training and Professional Education (CTPE). These programs are available to general public for a fee, but have been discounted to little or no cost for USF employees through a partnership with the Employee Success Center. Through engaging and interactive workshops, employees will embark on their customer service journey to refresh and refine their customer service skills. This  touchpoint clarifies the expectations that employees are expected to uphold when performing their job duties and interacting with others. Leadership Foundations Details & Enrollment

This 8-week leadership program for new leaders focuses on the practical aspects of leadership by emphasizing real-world implementations of proven strategies and research-based perspectives to foster effective leadership within an organizational setting.

Cost: There is a $150 program fee payable by the participant's college/department via chartfield.

HR Academy Details

HR Business Partner training via HR Academy.  The HR Academy is a cohort program committed to nurturing employee potential, honing in on capabilities, and empowering employees to become the architects of positive change within the university. Through an immersive and interactive learning experience, HR Academy explores best practices and cutting-edge strategies in the realm of human resources. Topics cover core HR elements as well as customer service. There is additional content for first time leaders.

Please note that to enroll in this program, you must currently hold a Human Resources role within the university. This requirement ensures that participants can fully benefit from the curriculum and apply it to their HR responsibilities.

Problem Solving Details & Enrollment

Problem solving involves a spectrum of processes, including generating ideas, evaluating, making decisions, and implementing a solution. Often, we are only treating a symptom instead of addressing the core problem. For this reason, it is important to thoroughly investigate and think outside of the box. A creativity course has been included, as creativity is an important aspect in problem solving. It allows you to see things from all angles, helping to generate novel ideas or solutions to problems. A dedicated course on brainstorming will focus on creating effective group sessions by combining creativity, problem solving, and group discussion. The final course pulls all of the previous ideas together with some concrete examples. It wraps up with tips on presenting your new solution to your audience and stakeholders.
