Honorlock Updates
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance exam security in online courses, USF has piloted and launched two new Honorlock features available Summer 2026: the Honorlock App and Side Camera View. Please note that both features require additional setup for instructors and students (for example, the Side Camera View requires an external webcam). For additional information or to schedule a consultation please email us. Additionally, Digital Learning will be providing workshops, Monday Minute updates, and updated guidance within the Honorlock Readiness checklist to support faculty implementation and student preparedness.
Canvas Updates
Canvas has added and/or enhanced several features. We invite you to click on the below links to learn more:
- Canvas Studio (Video Platform for Instructors and Students)

- Differentiation Tags (Manage Content Visibility and Due Dates by Custom Sets of Students)

Simple Syllabus Updates
As of Summer 2026, USF will use Simple Syllabus to post syllabi in Canvas. The following guides can help you get started:
