Thanks to the support of Hernando County Public Schools College and Career Programs, funding is available to help reduce the cost of USF summer camp registration for qualifying Hernando students.
Requirements for Participation
- Your student must be a Hernando County resident.
- The available scholarship amount depends on the type of school your student attended during the 2024-2025 school year.
Scholarship Details
For Hernando County students who attended a public (non-charter) school during the 2024-2025 school year:
- Eligible students can receive a scholarship that reduces the total camp registration
fee to $150.
- So, regardless of the cost of the selected camp, your total cost for registration will be $150, and the scholarship will cover the rest.
- $25 of this fee is a non-refundable application fee.
For Hernando County students who attended a private school, public charter school, or participated in homeschooling during the 2024-2025 school year:
- Eligible students can receive a $50 scholarship toward the cost of any eligible USF
Youth Experiences camp.
- For example, if a camp normally costs $300, the scholarship will reduce your total cost to $250.
- $25 of this fee is a non-refundable application fee.
Fees and Refunds
- To complete registration, parents will pay the required fee at the point of registration.
- After registration, we will verify your student’s school enrollment to ensure they meet the program requirements.
- If your student does not meet the requirements, your registration will be canceled, and a $25 processing fee will be deducted from your refund.
- If you choose to cancel your registration, a $25 processing fee will be deducted from your refund.
- Cancellations must be made at least 10 business days before the camp start date to receive a refund (minus the processing fee).
