Hernando County Students at USF Summer Camps
The Hernando Schools College and Career Programs Office provides funding for summer camp registration fees and daily transportation to camps at the USF Tampa campus. This program is available exclusively for current Hernando County Public Schools students (current student ID number required). Begin the registration process using the links for eligible camps on this page. Although camp tuition and transportation are covered, you will be responsible for a $25 non-refundable application fee. If your child does not attend a Hernando public school, you can still register at standard rates by clicking here.
Transportation Logistics
- Pick-up Location: Hernando High School, 111 Ernie Chatman Run Brooksville, FL 34601
- Pick-up Time: 8:00 am
- Transportation to USF Tampa: Students will be transported to USF Tampa to attend their camp, starting at 9:00 am.
- Camp Hours: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Return Transportation: Students will be bussed back to Hernando High School at the end of the camp day.

Additionally, the University of South Florida Office of Youth Experiences will provide lunch on Fridays during each camp.
