Michael and Deborah are the founders of The Solar Professionals Group. They serve
rural
property owners and small businesses who wish to increase their energy independence
with renewable energy technologies including but not limited to: solar photovoltaics,
mobile and stationary energy storage systems, hybrid back-up energy systems, electric
vehicle charging, environmental control systems, and more.

Michael is a professional engineer who graduated from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Michael has worked in project, operations, and executive management roles for several fortune 500 and private corporations serving the energy and manufacturing sectors. In 2010 he founded Ontario Solar Professionals Inc., a Canadian corporation, to provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the development of solar photovoltaic and energy storage systems in Canada. In 2014 North American Solar Professionals was created to serve the US market, primarily Central Florida.
Deborah began her career as an elementary school teacher in Ontario, received her Master’s in Education from Brock University, and her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Florida. Following graduation Deborah worked within USF’s College of Education at the Gus A. Stavros Center for Free Enterprise and Economic Education. She now focuses all of her attention on the couple's business and family. Deborah has a passion for the environment and education. Deborah is committed to ensuring we help to educate the communities we serve about the benefits of the emerging renewable energy technologies.
