USF Patel Colleg of Global Sustainability Partners with Muma College of Business For Coca-Cola World without Waste Recycling Challenge
Our college partnered with the College of Business to host a Sustain-A-Bull Challenge to USF with judges from the Coca-Cola Beverage Company. Undergraduate and Graduate students alike entered the challenge. They were tasked to come up with new ways the Coca-Cola company could achieve their World without Waste Recycling Goals. Muma College of Business students Renata Gomes Martin and Takana Shimabukuro created the challenge in which students participating could either enter individually or in small teams. Dr. Donna Davis, Dr. Shannon Hanna-West, Dr. Rob Hooker, and Dr. George Philippidis served as the faculty judges for the preliminary round on the competition where they judged all entries. Representatives of companies such as Coca-Cola served as the industry judges which selected the final winners of the competition. Our PCGS students Nicole Peters, Oluwatosin Folorunso and Franklin Dureke placed second and third in the competition winning a total of $500 and $250 respectively. We are proud of all the entries our students submitted and are pleased to see our students succeed.
