TD SYNNEX and USF Patel College of Global Sustainability Created a Sustainability Partnership
In October, TD SYNNEX announced a partnership with USF Patel College of Global Sustainability (PCGS) to expand their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts. Simultaneously, this partnership will provide PCGS students the opportunity to engage in future sustainability projects in collaboration with TD SYNNEX and gain valuable experience as part of their educational program.
TD SYNNEX is working with the PCGS team to design a mutually beneficial program that allows students to learn about the sustainability KPI data processes. Furthermore, the students will conduct an on-site assessment at TD SYNNEX’s headquarters, located in Clearwater, FL, and collaboratively develop a strategy to reach net-zero emissions. At the end of the current semester, PCGS students will create recommendations on ways to simplify and optimize the company’s sustainability processes.
The partnership between TD SYNNEX and USF Patel College of Global Sustainability is an attempt to promote collaboration between corporations and communities, as well as encourage the prevalence of sustainable corporate practices. Moreover, the partnership aims to bring about a positive impact on the local community, company, and employees. TD SYNNEX plans to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in global operations by 2045 as the commitment to the Science-based Target initiative Business Ambition Pledge.
“We are thrilled to partner with TD SYNNEX and to support our students who want to participate in this unique and timely opportunity,” said PCGS Dean, Govindan Parayil. “TD SYNNEX has a storied history of supporting the communities where they are based, and as a high-impact, global research university dedicated to student success, we are well-qualified to help provide a successful student experience and support TD SYNNEX in achieving its community and sustainability objectives.”
