Faculty Compensation Information
Compensation
Incoming full-time faculty at the University of South Florida can expect competitive
market salaries and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and retirement
plans, paid sick leave, and for 12-month employees, annual leave (i.e., vacation).
USF is developing programs addressing the difficult and complex issue of pay equity
that take into account academic market forces, variation in assignment, discipline,
performance, and responsibilities, and years of service. Faculty in most USF Colleges
are represented by the United Faculty of Florida Union (UFF), so their compensation
and benefits, as well as other terms and conditions of employment, are subject to
collective bargaining agreements with UFF. The University of South Florida encourages
and supports faculty in the pursuit of professional development across all disciplines
at the local, state, national and international level.
