Florida Center for PAInT director awarded $2.6 million grant to bring arts-integrated pedagogy to civics classrooms
Denise Davis-Cotton, the director of the Florida Center for Partnerships in Arts Integrated Teaching (PAInT), received a $2.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education to launch a professional development program for educators who teach social studies in elementary and middle schools that serve low-socioeconomic status households and communities.

USF sees sharp rise in innovations and technology
The University of South Florida saw a sharp rise in the number of inventions and technologies submitted to the USF Tech Transfer Office—a springboard to turning ideas into global solutions and licensed products. Ranking 15th among American public research universities generating new patents, the number of new inventions, technologies and works of authorship formally disclosed by USF researchers is up nearly 25 percent since 2019.
