In an effort to help the U.S. Air Force in its mission to "invent the future for 2030 and beyond" the University of South Florida and the USF College of Engineering hosted a technical forum for the U.S. Air Force's "Science and Technology 2030" (S&T 2030) initiative held April 25 and 26 on the Tampa campus at C.W. Bill Young Hall.

The Mini-Circuits Design for X Laboratory is hosting a Design and Build Contest that will be held every fall and spring semester beginning in fall 2017 through 2023. All undergraduate students in good academic standing in the College of Engineering are eligible to participate in either teams or individually.

College of Engineering Sponsors 2017 Roboticon Tampa Bay and Brings the Robotics Universe to USF
ROBOTICON 2017 provided a chance for about 1,500 student technology enthusiasts from all over Florida to enjoy a weekend of robotics competition sanctioned by the educational initiative known as FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science and Technology), which engages students in activities, such as robotics, that teach Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) knowledge and skills.
