Kristen Corpion is not your average lawyer.
As a female entrepreneur, educator, public speaker, and community advocate, Corpion boasts an array of achievements and experiences. She has had a legal career most people dream of. Graduating from a T14 law school, working in Big Law, launching her own law firm, and now sitting as partner and chief innovation officer at powerhouse Trembly Law Firm. With a decade of experience under her belt, Kristen is only just get started. A Tampa native, Corpion fondly recounts her time at her alma mater, and attributes much of her success to the opportunities and growth that she experienced as an Honors student at the University of South Florida. Corpion was recently a recipient of the 2023 USF Young Alumni Award for her accomplishments as an attorney and entrepreneur. Corpion is passionate about uplifting small businesses through authentic and innovative law counsel. However, her passion for education and empowerment does not stop there. Corpion currently supports USF student success through her generous support of student scholarships and hopes to become more involved in the enrichment of student academic life at the university in the near future.

Corpion shared her thoughts on her Honors experience, the new Judy Genshaft Honors College building, and her future plans when she visited the new facility.
Q: What is your impression of the new Judy Genshaft Honors College Building?
A: The new Honors college building is truly remarkable! As an Honors alumna, I am so proud to see how far the Honors College has come since my time as a student. The state-of-the-art facilities available to current students are better than ever before. The building’s design and amenities are a testament to the commitment of the college to provide a truly world-class educational environment for its students. I am truly impressed and believe this new building will elevate the Honors experience for current and incoming students.
Q: How would you describe the Honors experience to incoming students?
A: With this new facility and other improvements on campus, incoming Honors students have so much to look forward to during their Honors experience! They can expect the same nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment, surrounded by like-minded peers and dedicated faculty that was present when I was a student. They can also expect that the new cutting-edge facilities will provide more opportunities for innovation, research, and collaborative learning, fostering an atmosphere of creativity and growth. Additionally, the college’s commitment to cultivating well-rounded individuals through various extracurricular activities and community engagement will undoubtedly shape the students into future leaders.

Q: What are your future professional aspirations?
A: Professionally, I am looking forward to coming back home to Tampa. I’ll be expanding my practice to Tampa as my husband, also a USF alum, and I come back and start a family. I’ll be launching the Tampa office and leading the firm’s expansion into the Tampa market. This new chapter in my career presents exciting opportunities to expand our reach, resources, and expertise. As an entrepreneur and public speaker, I am excited about the potential to inspire others with my journey, sharing insights on achieving success through dedication and perseverance. Representing small business owners (who I see as “my people”) is my true passion and is what I’ve been doing based out of Miami for years now. I’m excited to come back home and bring the experience I’ve gained with me to my hometown. Being a part of so many inspiring journeys is what I have loved doing and look forward to continuing to do back home in Tampa, where I’ll continue focusing on all things business and law.

It was an invaluable journey that has influenced my path as a successful attorney, entrepreneur, and speaker. I love the idea of supporting fellow USF Honors College students and am hoping one day to come back and teach in the Honors College.
