Honors Alumni Social Brings Together Past and Present

On Friday, Nov. 8, the Judy Genshaft Honors College hosted its first-ever Honors Homecoming Alumni Social at the college’s state-of-the-art building on the University of South Florida’s Tampa campus. The event welcomed alumni back to reconnect with old friends, network with faculty and staff, and tour the college’s new home ahead of the annual Homecoming parade and new on-campus stadium groundbreaking

Dean Charles Adams, who served as master of ceremonies, welcomed guests and highlighted the importance of alumni connections to the Honors College’s success. “Our alumni are very much at the heart of this college. Your achievements and support inspire our students and help us build a stronger future together,” Adams said.

AN HONORS HOMECOMING

The social was an opportunity for alumni to reflect on their experiences, share their journeys since graduating, and engage with updates about the college. Attendees enjoyed light refreshments while catching up with peers and learning about upcoming alumni initiatives, including the planned launch of the Judy Genshaft Honors College Alumni Society in 2025.

“The Judy Genshaft Honors College is proud of its alumni network and excited to create more opportunities for alumni to stay connected and engaged,” said Dr. Reginald Lucien, assistant dean for student success. “Whether through mentoring, internships, or scholarships, we are continually seeking ways to involve our alumni in supporting current students and strengthening the college community.”
