Physician Assistant College Admissions Test (PA-CAT)

What is on the exam (~ 4hrs)

  • 240 multiple choice questions that cover 9 prerequisite subjects:
    • Anatomy- 16%/ 39 questions
    • Physiology- 16%/ 39 questions
    • Chemistry I & II & Organic Chemistry I- 16%/ 38 questions
    • Biology I- 11%/ 26 questions
    • Microbiology- 11%/ 26 questions
    • Genetics- 11%/ 26 questions
    • Behavioral Sciences- 9%/ 22 questions
      • Psychology
      • Sociology
      • Lifespan
      • Social Psychology
      • Psychological Research
    • Biochemistry- 5%/ 12 questions
    • Statistics- 5%/ 12 questions

Note: There are no reading comprehension passages, but it will involve reading case-studies and interpreting data.
