Stetson 4+3 Bachelor’s/JD Program

The University of South Florida is proud to offer a Direct Admission Program in partnership with Stetson University College of Law. Any USF student meeting the credentials outlined below will be admitted upon application to Stetson University College of Law. Preference will be given to students in the Judy Genshaft Honors College, although high-performing USF students not in Honors are also eligible. Stetson University College of Law retains the right to make all admissions decisions.

In order to qualify for this opportunity, you must:

  • Be a USF student in any major, and have completed at least 75% of the credit hours required for your degree (90 credits, typically).
  • Complete all requirements for the USF bachelor’s degree before matriculating at the College of Law.
  • Earn a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.5 in courses taken at USF.
  • Earn a minimum score on the LSAT at the 50th percentile of the most recent class to matriculate at the College of Law.
  • Apply to the College of Law for admission into the full-time J.D. program between October 1 and May 15 in the academic year before you intend to begin J.D. study.
  • Meet the College of Law’s character and fitness requirements and comply with the College of Law’s general admissions policies.

BENEFITS FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE DIRECT ADMISSION PROGRAM

Students admitted into the Stetson University College of Law under the 4+3 Direct Admission Program will automatically receive a scholarship, renewable for the second and third years of law school, subject to the College of Law’s academic scholarship requirements. 

Scholarships will be based on the following criteria:

Prior year top 10% Prior year top 10% At least 75% tuition per year
Prior year 75th percentile Prior year 75th percentile At least 50% tuition per year
Prior year median Prior year median At least 25% tuition per year

3+3 ACCELERATED PROGRAM

Judy Genshaft Honors College students seeking an accelerated path to Stetson University College of Law also have the option of pursuing admission through the 3+3 Accelerated Program.
