Faculty & Staff

Staff Role

Although the curriculum accounts for the majority of students' prescribed learning, we know that the relationships formed with staff outside of the classroom are often the most impactful. Students trust staff to guide them through their university experience  – and that is why we need you to be a part of the ExCeL QEP.

How You Can Contribute to the QEP

  • Urge students to explore their career options early to best align their experiential learning options with their unique career goals.

  • Encourage students to register for the 0-6 credit hour IDS 3947 course to receive internship/co-op notations on their transcript. If taken for 0 credits, there is no cost to the students, but they will be required to reflect on the experience and receive a 360 degree evaluation as part of the experience.

  • If you supervise student employment established as a course, you can provide a 360 degree evaluation to your students by utilizing tools offered as part of the courses, including the Career Readiness Report.

If your engagement with students is not part of a course and you are interested in contributing further to your students' career readiness by formalizing your experiential opportunities, use the button below to share your interest with the Center for Career & Professional Development and they will contact you.
