Data Use Agreements

Facilitate the issuance of Data Use Agreements (DUA) and ensure the responsible sharing and transfer of research data between a provider institution and a recipient institution. The DUA team serves as subject matter experts tasked with overseeing issuance of data use agreements and, when necessary, recommending appropriate strategies or solutions to alleviate bottlenecks. The DUA Compliance Analyst manages and monitors compliance in accordance with the type of data being transferred and ensures adherence to the terms and conditions of the DUA (with respect to issues such as ownership, permitted uses of the data being transferred, publication of results, development of inventions, appropriate means of disposal or destruction of the data, and liability). 

Role of Institutional Research Effectiveness and Assessment (IREA) 

The DUA team serve as subject matter experts tasked with overseeing issuance of data use agreements and, when necessary, recommending appropriate strategies or solutions to alleviate bottlenecks. The Senior Grant Compliance Administrator manages and monitors compliance in accordance with the type of data being transferred and ensures adherence to the terms and conditions of the DUA (with respect to issues such as ownership, permitted uses of the data being transferred, publication of results, development of inventions, appropriate means of disposal or destruction of the data, and liability).
