USF Counseling Center

The USF Counseling Center offers a variety of counseling services to all currently registered USF students. Services include but are not limited to individual appointments, group counseling, outreach and prevention workshops, as well as interactive online resources.

Center for Student Well-Being

The Center for Student Well-Being provides students with support for developing healthy habits to navigate their college experiences. There are Wellness Center offers nap pods, massage chairs, free fruit, and other wellness resources.

Student Health and Wellness Center

The Student Health & Wellness Center is located next to the Recreation center and Yuengling Center. Park in lot 22D in order to use our services or get on the Purple route with the Bull Runner. Students pay a Health Fee, which is included in their tuition, and this helps to keep clinic services more affordable.

Center for Victim Advocacy and Violence Prevention

The Center for Victim Advocacy & Violence Prevention provides free and confidential services to USF students, faculty, and staff who have experienced crime, or violence on- or off-campus. Their mission is to empower survivors of crime, violence, or abuse by promoting the restoration of decision making, by advocating for their rights, and by offering support and resources.

SOS | Student Outreach and Support

The Office of Student Outreach & Support (SOS) helps students manage life stressors that can impact academics and personal well-being. SOS enhances student success by identifying needs, removing barriers and reducing distress. After receiving a referral for services, the office helps students through a variety of interventions, university services, community referrals and case management.

University Food Banks

On the Tampa Campus, students may visit the Feed-A-Bull pantry located in the basement of the Student Services Building - SVC 0002 from 10:00am – 4:00pm (Monday-Friday).

The St. Petersburg Support-A-Bull Market is located in SLC 2400, and students are encouraged to make online food orders, which may be collected from 8:00am to 5:00pm (Monday-Friday). 

The Sarasota-Manatee Support-A- Bull pantry is located in SMC C144 , and students are encouraged to make online food orders, which may be collected from 7:00am to 10:00pm (Monday-Friday) or 8:00am – 6:00pm (Saturdays).

USF Campus Recreation

USF Campus Recreation offers numerous opportunities to exercise, play intramural sports, and explore the outdoors. Membership costs depend on an individual's role at the university, and USF students enrolled for the current term may use these facilities free of charge with their USF ID Card. Outdoor Recreation coordinates adventure trips that include transportation, and Intramural Sports organizes recreational competition in a variety of sports.

Tampa campus students may sign up for the university's Emergency Notification System by clicking here.

St. Petersburg campus students may register for access to Alert USF by following instructions found here.

  • Blue Light Phones are emergency phones placed strategically throughout the campus. On the Tampa campus there are ninety lights in total and each light serves a specific radius. At night, the lights illuminate making it easy for a person to identify them in an emergency situation. The light pole houses a blue light phone which allows you to contact the appropriate Police Department.

  • The USF SAFE Team provides students with free and safe travel on the Tampa campus from 6:30pm to 2:00am (when classes are in session). Students can call 813-974-SAFE (7233) to have an escort accompany them to their destination by foot or golf cart.

  • Learn all about Hurricane Safety and how to prepare for extreme weather conditions by exploring the USF Hurricane Guide.

  • Students may receive up-to-date Weather Forecasts in their area by visiting the WeatherSTEM station page and app.

Obtaining A Florida Driver’s License

Students are encouraged to obtain a Florida driver's license, even if they have driving permits from their home countries. To obtain a Florida driver’s license, students must complete their document check and immigration information session before they will be eligible to receive a Florida driver's license since their I-20 or DS-2019 must be in active status at the time of their application.
