F-1 StudentS

If you are an F-1 student who is graduating from your program of study, you are no longer eligible to work on or off campus as of your commencement date unless you obtain permission. For F-1 students this would be Post-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT). You can apply for OPT up to 90 days prior to commencement and 60 days after commencement. If you are in a STEM program you may be eligible for an additional 24 months of STEM OPT which you can apply for 90 days prior to the end of your Post-Completion OPT.

J-1 StudentS

If you are an J-1 student that is graduating from your program of study, you are no longer eligible to work on or off campus as of your commencement date until you obtain permission. Visit Academic Training (AT) for more information.
