Florida International Leadership Conference (FILC)

The Florida International Leadership Conference (FILC) invites 150+ international and study abroad students from colleges and universities all over the State of Florida to engage in a truly unique 3-day conference that includes leadership development, cross-cultural dialogue, and a true U.S. American "camping" experience.

Conference Goals

The FILC aims to:

  1. Enhance leadership skills
  2. Promote friendships and networks among international and study abroad students
  3. Acknowledge and reward student leaders who work at promoting international understanding on campus
  4. Challenge students to see themselves as global leaders
  5. Recognize the differing styles of leadership across cultures 

Eligibility

In order to participate in the FILC, you must:

  1. Uphold a minimum GPA of 3.0
  2. Graduate in Spring 2024 or later
  3. Be in good standing with Student Rights and Responsibilities
  4. Submit an online application form submitted by Sunday, November 27th
  5. Be willing to attend all pre-conference team meetings
  6. Have a positive attitude
