About: Measures the Black-white gap in percentage of jobless labor force aged 25-64 who
are either working or actively looking for work. It is calculated by subtracting the
unemployment rate of African-Americans from that of white Americans in the MSA.

- The Black-white unemployment rate gap is highest in MSAs with large Black populations, such as Baltimore, St. Louis.
- Tampa Bay is having comparatively low Black-white unemployment rate gap and gap trend is decreasing over the years. However, the competitive rank is fluctuating around the 10th position.
