Minh Anh Bui
Global Business, Psychology

For Minh Anh Bui, every challenge has been an opportunity to grow.
At 10, she faced a life-changing transition when her mother moved to the U.S. to pursue her career. Though she didn’t fully understand it at the time, she learned to adapt, stand on her own, and turn uncertainty into growth.
Those lessons shaped her journey as she moved from Vietnam to Vancouver for high school. She later moved to the U.S. for college, each time choosing to see change as an opportunity rather than a setback.
Academics became her foundation. Faculty members describe her as someone who is not just here to learn, but to engage, challenge and contribute.
At USF, she has maintained a 4.0 GPA in while balancing leadership, service, and professional development. She is majoring in global business and psychology. The two bridge strategic thinking with a deep understanding of leadership and behavior.
She saw the lack of connection among Vietnamese students on campus. So with her friends, she co-founded the Vietnamese International Student Association. The group helps strengthen bonds and creates a home for Vietnamese students. She also served on the USF student government’s Campus Council, later becoming vice chair to advocate for student needs.
As a student ambassador for Feeding Tampa Bay, she supports families facing food insecurity. She believes that when basic needs are met, individuals can focus on building a better future.
