Claudia De Jesus

Curiosity is one of her greatest strengths. That’s what led Claudia De Jesus into finance.

She was born and raised in Hatillo, Puerto Rico. There she faced limited educational opportunities in the countryside. But she refused to let that define her future. After moving to the United States, she decided her passion lies in people. So she focused on mentorship, building opportunities, and helping others.

At USF, De Jesus has maximized every opportunity.

Through the Investment Club, she rotated between roles that strengthened her technical skills. She currently serves as the head of placement for the student organization.

In June, she heads to New York to serve as a fixed income origination summer analyst at Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets.

She saw the challenges of recruitment, so she secured Solomon Partners as a first-time recruitment partner. She created a mentorship program that connected students with top firms. Those included Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, and Capital Group.

As president of Phi Chi Theta, she helped lead the chapter to a top-three national ranking. She built corporate partnerships. She hosted executive speakers, and raised over $8,000 for philanthropic initiatives with her leadership team.

Her commitment to giving back extends beyond campus. She led financial recruitment workshops. She raised thousands for scholarships and mental health services.

With a 3.89 GPA, numerous accolades, and a dedication to mentorship, she is driven by gratitude, resilience, and a commitment to empowering others. She thrives in the face of adversity and refuses to let obstacles define her potential.
